What's the one thing you plan to do to change the world, even a little?I want to create innvovative products and services that disrupt common practices and demonstrate a better way to do something. My hope is that with the internal entrepreneur spirit that I have and experience gained through various positions, I can have the tools necessary to help as many people as possible, creating great technology.
Who has inspired you the most? There are various religious leaders and business executives that have inspired and motivated me to be a better person. However, my father has always been a huge motivator and example in my life. He knew how to balance being an entrepreneur and spending time with his family better than anyone I've ever met. He put his priorities in perfect order and would give anything for those he supported. I hope to be like him.
What are your pet peeves?Growing up in Idaho, there was a famous salutation called "the wave". If you ever let anybody into a lane while driving it was standard for that person to give you a quick wave of "thank you". When I moved to Utah, I found myself never getting the wave no matter how generous the gesture. It has become a teasing point from my girlfriend as I patiently wait for someone to give the wave and react accordingly whether I get it or not. I guess if that's my biggest pet peeve, my life is going fairly well.
What has been a turning point in your life?
Simple: Coming to HireVue. The amount of learning I have gained and the amazing relationships I have built have altered the course of my life. Having the opportunity to work for a company that's built on such a solid product and leadership team, has shown me the right way to build a business in the future.
